7th graders celebrated Pi Day with a variety of activities. What is Pi Day? Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) to honor the mathematical constant \(\pi \) (\(3.14159...\)), representing the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter.
Students in Mr. Batholow’s wood shop class are completing several hands-on projects. Their final pieces showcase the woodworking skills they have developed throughout the course. We’re excited to share a few photos of some finished work and the craftsmanship behind each piece.

In Ms. Beck's class students are exploring the living organisms in various ecosystems, such as, swamp, rainforest and desert. Students are realizing that there is a balance that needs to be kept in the ecosystems as they assemble a food web for the specific ecosystem they are assigned to study.
Congratulations to these outstanding Stallions! They have been selected to advance to the Region VII Social Studies Fair.

This week our 8th grade Stallions participated in the West Virginia State Treasurer’s "Get a Life" program.
This is a financial literacy simulation for 8th-grade students, teaching them to manage monthly budgets, pay bills, and make career-based financial decisions. Stallions were learning in class and moving in PE today!
The WVU Chambers Elite Climbers program, along with the WV Public Education Collaborative K12 Speakers Bureau, attended South Middle school today to talk with middle schoolers about their futures.
Although the Climbers program is for WVU football student athletes, the speakers covered the importance of working through mindsets and obstacles to reach goals, whether on the athletic field or in future careers.
