6th and 7th graders received their iReady Reward for meeting our school goal on the second iReady Diagnostic. 6th grade voted to have nachos and cheese if they met the goal and 7th graders voted for icing and cookies. 8th grade will be having their Growth reward next week.

Mrs. Barnes' 6th Grade Career class got to celebrate with plushies today for being the class to bring in the most food during our food drive. Thank you to everyone that donated!
In Mrs. Shumaker's science class, students completed a STEM Challenge where their goal was to build a tower that held a large marshmallow at the top. The tower had to stand for 30 seconds and students were provided a limited amount of supplies to make their towers. The largest tower build was 69 cm tall.
Our choir students went caroling to our business partners today. They visited MVB Bank, Chestnut Ridge Sheetz, March Westin, Great American Cookie, and Liberati. Merry Christmas and thank you for all you do!
Mrs. Conley & Mr. Sears 8th grade WV Studies classes created some festive WV ornaments in anticipation of the holidays.
Our Stallion Orchestra and Choir students did an excellent job tonight at their concert! The audience could see how hard you all work! Thank you for your time and dedication.

With our food donations we were able to make 25 boxes to go out to South Families . Thank you to Mrs. Nestor's Student Council members for helping! Happy Holidays!
In Mrs. Bartholow's class, grades 6-8 got hands-on with interior design. They learned about different design styles, took a style quiz, and then used Roomstyler.com to design their own spaces from scratch. Check out these amazingly talented and beautifully designed rooms!
7th grade Students of the Month!
One of Mrs. Batholow's 6th grade art classes had a wonderful visit to the WVU Art Museum! Students explored two inspiring galleries - one focused on Topographies of Memory and another highlighting women artists working in abstract art.
After observing and discussing the artwork, they created their own multimedia abstract pieces, each one unique and beautifully expensive. The students worked incredibly hard and their creativity truly shone.
After lunch, the museum surprised everyone with adorable bags filled with art supplies so the young artists can continue creating at home. The kids did a fantastic job, and Mrs. Bartholow couldn't be more proud of them!

We are incredibly proud to announce the success of South Middle School's donation drive for victims of domestic violence.
Thanks to the generosity of our students, families, and staff, we collected approximately 500 essential items! These much-needed donations have been delivered to R.D.V.I.C. (Rape and Domestic Violence Intervention Center) to support individuals and families seeking safety and rebuilding their lives.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this important cause. Your kindness provides crucial help to those in need.
